Our Story
Proprietor Vince Hall is a lifelong hunter with a special joy for teaching and sharing the sport with others. Pappa Bear Lodge opened for its first bear hunt in 2017 and boosts a 100% success rate. Vince invites deer and bear hunters alike to enjoy hearty, southern cooking, cozy rooms in a 100-year-old farm house, and spinning yarns as only hunters can. Services vary from standard 3-day hunts to accommodating your camper. We specialize in kids! Call today for booking and quotes. We're always open!
Bear Hunting
With 80 acres nestled next to 110,000 conservation area acres, Pappa Bear Lodge boasts ample land to attract the best bear. Hunts begin at $3500 for 3 days full outfitting, meals and accommodation.
Three day hunts are $1500 and include hunting, accommodation and all meals and snacks.
Turkey Hunting
3 day hunts for meat or trophies $1200.00 Lodging and meals provided.
Deer Hunting
Pappa Bear strives to be ecologically and environmentally sensitive. We do not run dogs on the property and we recycle. No toxic materials are used in the woods or in the lodge. We are scaling up solar and wind power and hope to become self sufficient in the near future.
